Running Shoes Technology

Advances in design and science means that many trainers are more technical than ever before. With advanced computer modeling techniques, designers can now develop a shoe that exactly mimic how people run.

UK-based company, Reebok is credited with one of the first purpose-built sports shoes, when, in late 1800-and issued a pair of shoes designed to run that featured impulses. Something that has never been done before, the inventor was keen runner myself and found that the spikes provided a better grip on softer surfaces and helped him run faster than before.

Two giants in the industry of sports shoes actually founded by the brothers. Adi Dassler created Adidas, and his brother Rudolf formed Puma. Established in 1925, Adidas is also involved with spiked shoes to help runners, this time offering a choice of different styles for runners of various distances.

a great deal of research has been done in the early 1970s to determine exactly how people run. Research that today, thanks to computer software, much easier than it was then.

research focused on damage caused by the human body, especially knee and hip joints as a result of prolonged running on different surfaces.

The results showed three main styles of running, Neutral, and pronation Supenation

.

natural running style of racing where the foot lands flat on the ground and not roll either inward or outward, but the foot travels in a straight line. This style of leadership is often the best for endurance running.

pronation - This is where the foot rolls inward as it hits the ground, and moves to the side as it travels forward. Joint injuries caused by this kind of running the Tarsel tunnel syndrome, shin splints and bunyons.

Supenation - the style is the opposite of pronation - in this case, the foot rolls out. Excessive supenation can cause shin splints and ankle sprains.

Today, there are different versions running shoe developed to deal with whatever style you are running. big shoes to use different densities of foam in areas only offer additional support and firm where it is necessary to minimize the damage to his body with excessive running.

Further progress in running shoes include the Nike Air Sole which was created in 1972. The inventor of the rubber to put their waffle machine at home and stuck it resulted in "waffle sole" on a standard pair of sneakers. Runners who tried a new invention noted how well they found it, and lightweight outsole revolutionized running shoe market.

In recent years, brands including Skechers have entered the arena running shoe. Their 'Skechers Resistance Runner' technology is designed to mimic running in soft sand. only softens the impact on its feet at every step, allegedly resulting in much faster and smoother running.

With continued advances in composite materials and computer modeling, it seems that the technology will continue to advance further.
